Made in Italy for the famous brand, this is a stunningly beautiful single-tone brocade woven from mostly wool and accented by lustrous Lurex. It is just about opaque and while it has the appearance of a medium suiting weight, it feels almost weightless. This fabric is stable in both directions with some crispness in the drape, and a dry hand. The gorgeous "antique flora" design (8.25" repeat) features twisted yarns in antique cream emphasized by a bit of dimension and the sheen of the Lurex fibers. An inverted rendition of the design shows on the reverse, which is very beautiful as well. Make a tailored suit, lined or unlined jacket, sheath dress, topper coat, skirt, fitted dress pants, etc. Dry cleaning is best; please test first if you wish to try another method.
